Bio
Richard Elaver is a designer, metalsmith, and educator. He
recently completed a Fulbright Fellowship in the Netherlands
where he worked with Droog Design and studied the history
of craft and design at the University of Leiden. In his own
work, Nelipovich integrates the tools of industrial design with
the craft of metalsmithing. He develops computer
simulations of biological phenomena, and uses them in the
creation of design objects. Nelipovich received his Bachelors
degree from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, and his
MFA from the Cranbrook Academy of Art. He has several
years of work experience both as a jeweler and industrial
designer. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor of Design at
Indiana-Purdue University in Fort Wayne, where he teaches
3D Design, Model-Making, and Package Design. Nelipovich
lives in Fort Wayne with his partner, Andrea, and their dog
Tunch.
