Three frames, each approx. 6 x 1.5 x 6 in.
Anodized titanium in acrylic cases.
These frames were designed to have no
welds or cast parts, made entirely from
Titanium wire. All pieces are mechanically
fastened through intricate interlocking
elements.
Hornrims - 2003
Each frame approx. 5.5 x 1.5 x 6 in.
Buffalo horn and 14k white gold hinges
Merging old and new, CAD designed frames
are CNC cut from water buffalo horn (what
eyeglasses were made from in the 14th
century), and the hinges are similarly made
through CAD/CAM techniques, then cast in
14k white gold using traditional jewelry
techniques.

Frame approx. 5.5 x 1.5 x 6 in.

Sketching over a photograph to generate the
initial design, the shape is then scanned and
made into a CAD model, then cut out in water
buffalo horn using a computer-controlled
milling machine.
